The mission of the Center for Disaster Medical Sciences (CDMS) at UC Irvine School of Medicine is to advance the art and science of disaster medicine through research, education, training and public policy.

The center is a branch of the University of California, which offers the largest health sciences training program in the nation. UC Irvine School of Medicine is one of the organizing universities of the European Master in Disaster Medicine program, via a formal agreement with the UC Irvine Office of the Dean.
